I was at church yesterday. On my right was my Dad, looking as handsome as ever, and on my left was my younger sister, who has grown into a young woman while I was gone, and my Mom beside her, who makes me proud by changing with life around her, and inspires me by not letting the small things get to her.
As the young new priest, who has managed to bring back a congregation to a once scarcely populated church, asked us to pray, I could only think of this to say to God.
"Dear God, I have not much to ask for, but many things to be thankful for, so today I will only say thank you for bringing me the countless blessings in my life. Thank you for bringing me my family, who loves me and is proud of my choices, Thank you for my health, that gives me the strength to follow my dreams. Thank you for my beautiful friends, who make me laugh, let me cry and who love me because of my faults, not in spite of them. Thank you for the oppurtunity to see the world, to live a life that I can not complain about. Thank you for a world that is inspiring, thought provoking and filled with the miracles of you. Thank you for all the things that have contributed to me being this happy."
